Chicago bred music producer, Lord Haiti, coined the term “VIBE” and incorporates that euphoric feel into his music. The up-and-coming producer is making his mark in the world of Indie music, with major influences from J Dilla, The Neptunes, Timbaland and Madlib, which helps increase his desire to perfect his craft. Lord Haiti’s music style consists of multiple genres that include hip-hop, R&B, house, EDM and chill-wave, which all can be heard on his debut project “On My Soul”.

“On My Soul” can be described as a base-heavy, melodic project with a chill and mellow state of mind. The project focuses on helping an individual vibe along to the tunes, getting lost into the euphoric, and sometimes spiritual feeling, through all the different sample cuts. The “On My Soul” 8 track EP is very cohesive, telling a story that can be interpreted several ways by the listener. The project features samples from iconic platforms from our childhood, such as the diary theme from popular TV sitcom “Moesha,” Nina Simone’s “Here Comes The Sun,” Aaliyah’s “Never Coming Back” and more. Freddie Old Soul, King Butch, Schenay Mosley, Edgar Rios, Michael Penny and UCOBY are just a few mentions of artists Lord Haiti worked with to make this project possible.

With a vast library of work on his previous EP, "Paradise” which debuted in 2013, Lord Haiti remains in the music scene, releasing singles like “Sirius,” “Don’t Wake Me Up,” and “It’s Alright” featuring Nina Simone that has been fueling up the anticipation of “On My Soul” project with exciting distinct sound. Major media outlets such as Thisis50, The FLVR,Toronto's #1 urban radio show, "The Masterplan Show", and amongst others are recognizing Lord Haiti’s efforts. With continued growth, mastered skills and experience, Lord Haiti's possibilities are endless.
