New Video: REKS "Jump Shots" (Produced by Buckwild; Cuts by Statik Selektah)

Look for the upcoming REKS album, The Greatest X, (pronounced The Greatest Unknown) dropping September 9th, 2016 on Brick Records.

Premiered today by Hiphopdx, "Jump Shots" is a song that articulates in depth the idea made famous by Biggie, "either your slingin' crack rock or you got a wicked jump shot." Over an infectious head-nodder from Buckwild and assisted by  flawless cuts from Statik Selektah, REKS  describes the limited options available to ghetto youth and the parallels between b-ball and hip hop.  A die-hard Boston Celtics fan, REKS told Hiphopdx, "I actually grew up idolizing the Bad Boys; Isaiah Thomas on the ball court.  His grittiness and fearlessness was admirable."
"Jump Shots" comes just in time as The NBA Finals are now in full swing.  REKS won't root for any team other than his beloved Celtics these days, but he is enjoying the shootout between Steph Curry and Lebron James.  "Jump Shots" is the fourth release from The Greatest X.

The Greatest X features production from Large Professor, The Alchemist, Evidence, Statik Selektah, Nottz, Apollo Brown, Black Milk, MoSS, Buckwild, Streetrunner, and guest appearances from R.A. The Rugged Man, Termanology, Planet Asia, Rasco, Phat Kat, Guilty Simpson, Akrobatik, Reef the Lost Cauze, Edo G and others.
