M-Eighty named VP of A&R at RBC RECORDS

From Wu-Tang Affiliate to Guinness World Record Freestylist to one of Hip-Hop’s go to A&R’s and now the recently named Vice President of A&R at RBC Records, M-Eighty’s presence in the game has been felt over a decade strong with over 30+ titles bearing his credits behind the scenes.  RBC Records run by Brian Shafton & Ben Grossi formerly of Priority Records were proud to bring M-Eighty aboard after watching his successes for several years with the likes of Wu-Tang, Kurupt of The Dogg Pound, Canibus, Keith Murray, Redman, Planet Asia and many more.  “From project coordinator to artist development, legal administration, marketing and promotions to tour booking and management, M-Eighty is someone who really cares about his craft, the potential of the artists he works with and has an undeniable love and admiration for the Hip-Hop Culture” remarks RBC President Brian Shafton.
California based RBC Records was founded in 2001 and over the past 12 years has released more than 60 albums from clients including The Game, Ice Cube, Techn9ne & Strange Music, E-40, Method Man & Street Life, Too Short, Canibus & Keith Murray, Planet Asia, Pac Div, Lil Webbie, DJ Quik, Raphael Saadiq, Cappadonna, Ras Kass, Yukmouth, Cashis , Almighty & more including this weeks release of E-40’s “The Block Brochure” volumes 4, 5 & 6. 
To commemorate M-Eighty’s new role at RBC Records, he has constructed “The A&R Extraordinaire” compilation available now for FREE download.  The compilation features 25 tracks from 25 albums A&R’d by M-Eighty over the course of the past decade with contributions from the WU-Tang Clan, Snoop Dogg, Canibus, Techn9ne, MF DOOM, Killah Priest, RA the Rugged Man, Kurupt, Keith Murray, Chino XL, Planet Asia, Talib Kweli, Bronze Nazareth, Almighty and many more. “Compiling this compilation and listening to it from front to back reminds me of how grateful I am to have been a part of so many of Hip-Hops finest releases in the past decade and makes me fortunate knowing that through my continued dedication and respect for the artform that another decade of progress and prosperity is right around the corner.” remarked M-Eighty.
