VH1′s ‘Love And Hip-Hop’ Star Mendeecees Harris Found Not Guilty In Child Molestation Case

Vh1′s “Love and Hip-Hop New York” star Mendeecees Harris can breathe a sigh of relief (at least temporarily) as he was acquitted today of child molestation charges.
Harris’ charges by New Jersey prosecutors in Bergen County included allegations that he received oral sex from a 15-year-old girl who once lived with him and had fondled her on many occasions as well in exchange for money four years ago. The alleged sexual acts occurred between September 2009 and April 2010. Had he been found guilty, the reality television star could have faced up to 20 years in prison.
Mendeecees’ troubles are far from being over though as he currently resides in a Rochester, NY jail on drug trafficking charges worth $2.5 million. Talk about balling, he and two co-defendants have pleaded not guilty as the Feds have already seized over $1.5 million dollars from a safe deposit box as well as over $400-thousand in jewelry.
Harris manages rapper Vado and also owns The Beat Factory studio in New York. Harris’ girlfriend Yandy Smith is also a music manager and stars on the show. After the verdict, Smith hit up Instagram acknowledging the win.
In the words of Ice Cube, I guess today was a good day.
