Rev. Run and Family Help Create Winter Mural at 10th Annual Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation Youth Holiday Party

Joseph "Rev. Run" Simmons and family celebrated the holiday season with the 10th Annual Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation's Youth Holiday Party at the Fillmore New York at Irving Plaza. The winter-themed mural was created as a gift for The League Treatment Center, located in Brooklyn, New York, which provides services to children and adults with emotional, psychological and developmental disabilities. Along with the help of Rush Philanthropic's celebrity friends, more than 500 children from various art organizations contributed their creative and artistic abilities to complete the mural.

Procter & Gamble's Bounty brand sponsored the celebration alongside Rush Philanthropic and the Simmons family by providing materials to create the mural and encourage children to explore their creative sides. As Bounty continues its mission to reinforce youth art education and the experience of learning by doing, Rush Philanthropic has proven to be a great partner for the brand. Also on hand to lend their artistic flair to the mural was MTV personality and the night's emcee, Sway Calloway and Hot97's, DJ ENVY.

"Our family is a long time supporter of the arts. We feel strongly about encouraging the importance of creativity among our youth," said Rush Philanthropic Co-Founder Simmons. "It was a pleasure to participate in Bounty's mural and we look forward to the continued support of creativity within urban communities."

The annual holiday event honors the creative energy of New York City youth and brings together children affiliated with more than 50 art organizations supported by Rush Philanthropic. Ranging from age 6 to 18, children had the opportunity to showcase their talents through spoken word, rap, dance and exhibiting artwork.
